Nashville, Tenn. — Award-winning country music darling, Gretchen Wilson, kicked off her cowboy boots and slipped into a pair of combat boots to show her gratitude for our armed forces. It’s all part of the Boot Campaign’s ‘get YOUR boots on’ mission. By posing in her combat boots, Wilson is saying ‘thank you’ for the hard work and sacrifices made by the men and women in the U.S. Military. Wilson joins a growing chorus of celebrities, professional athletes, politicians, business leaders and Americans who are getting THEIR boots on for our troops.
“This is such a simple and really effective campaign to bring attention to men and women who serve our country all over the world to protect our freedom, and I am very proud to be a part of it,” says Gretchen Wilson.
Gretchen Wilson exploded onto the country music scene in 2004 with her smash hit “Redneck Woman” and has since scored three #1 albums. The critically-acclaimed singer/songwriter has won virtually every award for which she’s been nominated, including trophies from the Grammys, ACM, CMA, AMA and more.
Her first book, the autobiographical “Redneck Woman: Stories from My Life,” landed her on the prestigious New York Times Best Seller List. Her newest album, I Got Your Country Right Here, is currently in stores, and her “I’d Love To Be Your Last” single is hitting radio now. She is nominated for two Grammy Awards this year. www.GretchenWilson.com
