Nashville, Tenn. (Wednesday, February 23, 2010)- Beladroit/Universal Republic’s 1950’s-inspired harmonic duo, Laura and Lydia Rogers of The Secret Sisters, are truly grateful: grateful for their fans and grateful for the reception of their self-titled debut album. Yesterday, the label released the album in the U.K which debuted at #1 on iTunes on the
U.K. Country Chart (Source: Apple). As if that isn’t enough, they’ve revealed the girls will be touring in the U.S. this year to some of the nation’s most infamous venues with revered performers including Loretta Lynn, Amos Lee, Ray LaMontagne, and Brandi Carlile.
Currently performing throughout Europe and the U.K. with LaMontagne, The Secret Sisters are quickly making a name for themselves both in the U.S. and overseas. Since releasing their album stateside on Oct. 12, 2010, they continue to receive notable accolades from countless American music critics, fans and supporters, and after a New Years Eve appearance on the prominent
annual U.K. music show, Hootennany with Jools Holland, numerous international supporters simply can’t get enough of them either.
“We’re so thankful for the fans that have embraced us and the artists that continue to reach out their hand and invite us to join them for collaborations and tours,” says Laura. “So much has happened in the last year, and we can’t even begin to prepare for what could possibly come up next,” adds Lydia giddily.
Fans can hear The Secret Sisters featured on Ray LaMontagne and The Pariah Dogs’ new E.P., Live Fall 2010, on track #3, “You Can Bring Me Flowers,” which is available now on iTunes. Admirers of the duo can also expect the worldwide debut of their new music video for single “Tennessee Me” in coming weeks. You can see their performance of the single on Late Show with David Letterman, HERE.
