Marty Raybon with his Friend, Raoul
Nashville, TN (September 2, 2011) — Country Star Marty Raybon now knows first- hand, the difference a little compassion can make. The former lead singer of 90’s super group, Shenandoah, recently spent a week in Colombia with renowned children’s charity, Compassion International.
”There have been moments in my life when I realized it was more than just an event I was part of,” Raybon says of his experience in Colombia. “It changed my perspective of understanding that the needs of others are greater than my own.”
Raybon sang lead for Shenandoah from 1985 – 1996. During that time the group recorded nine studio albums and charted a string of top-10 songs including five number ones. Raybon also helped Shenandoah secure several awards including the Academy of Country Music’s Vocal Group of the Yearin 1991. Continue reading
