I grew up with gospel music and started singing in the choir at the age of 3 (wasn't very good but I learned). My baby sister used to sing "Amazing Grace, how sweet I sound". LOL. I started listening to the Louvin Brothers years ago and fell in love with their style and sound. I truly wish that there were more singers like them now. I still sing some of their songs and get great accolades when I do. Thank you, Charlie and Ira, for your influence on me and country, gospel, and bluegrass music. You will be greatly missed (and probably forgotten by anyone that doesn't appreciate "true" harmony and talent) by myself and the music world. I am sorry to learn that Charlie has passed. I saw his last performance on the Marty Stuart Show which was taped on December the 26th of 2010. I love you Charlie and you will live on forever through your music and through people like me. But, I am a country girl at heart. (Age 70 this yr.) I have enjoyed Gospial music all my life. My dads cousins "The Holbrooks", were gospal singers. I could listen to gospal music all day.
