Raised Country! is a place where you can tell all of us about memorable experiences that you had in a rural, country setting. The only requirements are that your post must be clean enough for a broader audience, and they should be at least 70% true!

Like throwing a $5 bill in a tip jar to get things going, I started with a few of my own childhood memories.

If you already have your own country tall tales blog, please share a pointer to it! If you don’t, please feel encouraged to bless us with one of your tall tales here on our blog site.

We probably aren’t going to publish an anthology anymore, but here’s a radio ad for Raised Country that aired in 2010. We still want your stories, but there’s no contest or anthology in the works now.

Raised Country! is dedicated to my Uncle Billy, who instilled a love for good story telling into all of us mesmerized kids as he told us yarns and scary stories either in his lap or by a crackling camp fire.
